Pilipinas contest is a national search for the country's most beautiful women to represent and compete in the biggest international beauty contest of the world. It was first started in by Madam Stella Marquez de Araneta, Miss International and chairperson of BPCI.

Since it's formation, the BPCI, a non-stock, non-profit organization and foundation, the organizer of the Binibining Pilipinas, has established skills trainings and educational workshops for the indigents and philanthropic/humanitarian projects and activities that have benefited many orphans and street children, poor families and other less fortunate brothers and sisters of the Philippine society.

BPCI also conducted medical and dental missions and participated in relief operations in Central Luzon d
